First:
I did a killer killer awesome wedding this past Saturday, between myself and my second shooter (brother) we took 2037 pictures total. It was so amazing (and legal, first done as an officially licensed business)

Second:
I finally understand the goings on behind "shadows and highlights" in photoshop and know how to re-produce with general image editing software (like the gimp).

So seeing as I've been a lazy bum, and by lazy I mean just way too busy in the real world, I figure I'll toss a short update here.

Summer was awesome. I started my own business. I switched to canon. I'm switching back to nikon. I have a wedding to shoot in october. I learned all about flash photography and how it works. I bought the OneLight Workshop DVD (totally worth the money). I'm starting school again. I graduate in December.

And voila, there's the skinny.

In canada safe and sound. Currently just finishing up dinner at the university of sherbrooke. The best part of a totally geek sponsored convention is free wifi is absolutely everywhere. Sweet.

I'll probably be filling my scraps with pics from this trip. Because they certainly won't be art worthy, however it gives me time to practice with the XT.

Hey all!

So it's true. I'm going to canada.  I"ll be there from march 7th till the 12th.  I'll be in Sherbrooke at a comptuer programming competetion from the 7th to 9th, and then with the team in Montreal from the night of the 9th till the 12th. It should be a pretty sweet time.

So hopefully I'll come back with some pretty sweet pictures, I'm bringing my XT with the 50 1.8 so I should manage to snap some pretty sweet pics. And if not, well it'll be one heck of a blast.

Anyone have suggestions for things to do in Montreal? I'm sure we'll find things to do but if there's any "Don't miss" things or places to go it'd be nice to know about them.
